K-12 Curricular Integration

The objective of this project is to inspire the next generation of scientists, engineers, and students by deploying HamSCI supplied personal space weather stations into schools, colleges, and related educational institutions. This pilot project will focus on extra-curricular activities in high schools.
Through hands-on data collection, real-time monitoring, and collaborative analysis of solar activity, geomagnetic storms, auroras, and ionospheric conditions, we look to create active laboratories of discovery. cultivating a deeper understanding of our dynamic relationship with the Sun and its effects on Earth.
By placing these tools directly into the hands of students and educators, we hope to foster student curiosity, promote STEM literacy, create global data-sharing peer networks with scientists while developing and growing the amateur radio community in the process.
